DECEMBER 4, 2011

TITLE:  Centered on Christ (pt 1)
TEXT:  Colossians 2: 6-15
 
INTRO:  Jesus Christ wasn't just a good man or an prophet while here on earth.  Jesus Christ didn't
just give good advice or heal and feed people.  He was the sovereign LORD!
 
              1.  FOUNDATION OF OUR HOPE vv: 6-7
 
CONCLUSION:  If we really look at Jesus Christ, we will not see a step program or a stronger will.  What we see is that Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  And that only He can
establish wicked people like as righteous.

TITLE: The Most Dangerous Person in Church
TEXT:  Titus 1:5, 9-11
 
INTRO:  In addition to leading and teaching, preachers and leaders are called to protect or guard the
flock of God.
               1.  GOSPEL-ECLIPSING.
               2.  THEY ARE DIVISIVE.
               3.  THEY ARE CRITICAL.
               4.  JOY ROBBERS & TIME WASTERS
 
CONCLUSION:  If we as Pastors and Leaders are really Christians, then we must care for them, while guarding the flock.

TITLE: Trusting in God's promise to provide.
TEXT:  Philippians 4:19
            
 
INTRO:  Are there circumstances youhave been praying about for months or years, but feel God has not intervened?
               1.  GOD IS FAITHFUL.
               2.  GOD KEEPS HIM PROMISES.
               3.  GOD IS ABLE.
               4.  GOD WANTS TO MEET YOUR NEEDS.
 
CONCLUSION:  From our earthly perspective, God may seem uncaring when He doesn't immediately come to our rescue.  But God sees the big picture and is working to mature us.

TITLE:  Are your eyes on Canaan, But Your Mind in Egypt?
TEXT:   Exodus 16: 1-3 and Romans 8: 1-5
 
INTRO:  In planning as a church for a brighter tomorrow, we must anticipate many pitfalls and potholes on the road of life and ministry.
 
             1.  CHANGE OUR FOCUS.
                    2.  HAVE FAITH IN LEADERSHIP.
             3.  MOVE AND OPERATE IN GOD'S FAVOR.
 
CONCLUSION:  REMEMBER!  The race is not given to the swift or the strong, but to the ones who endure to the end.

TITLE:  Lets Go Fishing!
TEXT:  Matthe 4:18-19
 
INTRO:  It amazes me that the only words our Lord said to those disciples in our text was
"FOLLOW ME."  And they followed Him.
                1. THEIR RESPONSE.
 
                2. JESUS KEPT HIS WORD.
 
CONCULSION:  Brothers and Sisters, pretty buildings do not catch people, just like boats do not
catch fish.  Rods and reels and hooks and lines and sinkers by themselves do not catch fish.
 
Only people catch fish and that is why we are in the "Fishing Business"  Because if we are "Fishers
of men" we need to be catching people like fishermen catch fish.  AMEN!

TITLE: The Role of The Father.
TEXT:  Ephesians 6: 3-4
 
INTRO:  How do you define the role of a real father? 
 
          1.  Be a man, not just a male.
 
          2.  Treat your children fairly.
 
CONCLUSION:    As a real Christian father, we must first live the Christian life before our children.  We give respect so that we can receive respect from our children.  Last but not least handle and care for our children as we train them up to be the children hour heavenly father want them to be.

TITLE:  Fulfilling The Mission.
TEXT:  Acts 1:8
 
INTRO:  Jesus Christ did not come to establish an earthly kingdom.  He came to establish a spiritual kingdom.
 
          1.  Christ's Witnesses to the ends of the earth.
 
CONCLUSION:  Lets journey together. You ask how can we do that?  By sharing the Gospel with everyone we have an opprotunity to do so.  Fulfilling the mission Christ gave us.

TITLE: BEING THE SERVANT JESUS CALLED.
TEXT:  PHILIPPIANS 2:5-7
 
INTRO:  Many people accept positions in the church for different reasons.  WHY?
 
          1.  Jesus is the One who calls.
          2.  Jesus tells who will be leaders.
          3.  Jesus must be Lord.
          4.  Leaders must be faithful to Jesus.
 
CONCLUSION:  When it is all over, will Jesus say to you "well done?"

TITLE:  PURITY OF THE HEART
TEXT:  PSALM 119: 1-8
 
INTRO:  We live in a age today, that is steeped in a philosophy that seems to define one's life by one's personal experience. 
     
     1. God's Word brings great blessings.
     2. God's Word requires true obedience. 
     3. God's Word require purity of heart.
 
CONCLUSION:  If you want blessings, you must seek one thing. The Truth of God in His Word the Bible.

INTRO:  Is there a mother here this morning in need of a Spiritual renewal?  Every child of God need to have their strength restored from time to time.
 
               1.  THE NEW MOTHER
               2.  THE SINGLE MOTHER
               3.  THE WORKING MOTHER
               4.  THE OLDER MOTHER
 
CONCLUSION:  Mother no matter what God has called you to do, whether it's  great or small.  You can do it if you continue receiving God's strength and power.

TITLE:  WHY MISSIONS ARE IMPORTANT:
TEXT:  1 Thessalonians 5:14
 
INTRO:  All Christians should be on missions, delclaring what God has done for them.
          
            1.  Because of the cross of Jesus Christ.
            2.  Because of the command of Jesus Christ.
            3.  Because of the coming of Jesus Christ.
 
CONCLUSION:  Missions is important to God, and therefore they must be important to every one in the family of God.  (The Church)
